Your time is precious. Commuting to a standard PT office could cost you hours you just don't have to spare. Concierge Physical Therapy provides the highest level of service and convenience geared to the busy New Yorker.
Our individualized, hands-on approach to recovery, characterizes our personalized philosophy and is central to our core belief that you are one of a kind and your care should be too.
We specialize in treating the most complex of conditions with incredible attention to every detail. With intense training, we are focused to restore function, eliminate your pain and optimize health. Your time for progress is now.
Pain and limitations are not a part of your life plan. We have extensive experience in treating back pain, neck pain, bulging and herniated discs, degenerative disc disease, stenosis, sacroiliac dysfunction, as well as postoperative recovery.
The course of care begins with a conversation including your medical history, present situation, questions, concerns, and goals. This is followed by an initial evaluation, a complete musculoskeletal examination and movement screen that addresses posture, mobility, strength, stability, and fundamental movement patterns. This information allows us to understand what an issue is, where it is coming from, and why. We will discuss the findings of the initial evaluation and establish the plan of care together. Evaluation sessions are generally 60-90 minutes depending on what needs to be addressed.
Treatment seeks to alleviate pain, improve function, and increase activity tolerance. This is done through the restoration of mobility, strength, stability, and motor patterning. Everything in the body is connected to everything else, so both local and global weak links must be considered. Mobility is often initially addressed through use of manual therapy and may include soft tissue work, IASTM (instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization), joint mobilization, myofascial / trigger point work, and stretching techniques in conjunction with neuromuscular taping and therapeutic exercises. Reactivation, restoration, and reintegration of damaged and painful areas is achieved through corrective exercises, progression of strength and stability, postural work, and body mechanics. Education is an important part of the process, as ultimately my job is to make myself obsolete by teaching you the knowledge and skills you need to take care of your body for the long term. You will have a progressive home exercise program to work on between sessions to solidify gains made in-session and to achieve steady improvement between sessions. Treatment sessions are 60 minutes.
